The Secret Military Installation On The Planet - 1663 Words

Cover ups, whether of the government actions or secret plans or personal grudges most certainly end up being revealed in time. Conspiracy on any level seeks to hide actions on the part of individuals who perceive their importance greater than that of others. Historically, conspiracies associated with the United States government cause citizens to question their elected leaders. Broken trust requires many months and years to rebuild, if ever it can be. â€Å"Less than one hundred miles from Las Vegas, Nevada is the most famous secret military installation on the planet† (â€Å"Area†). â€Å"The actual area cannot be found on most maps, at least not those accessible to the public† (â€Å"Brannan†). â€Å"There are several theories about how Area 51 got its†¦show more content†¦Robert Lazar said the government has possession of at least nine alien spacecraft at a base called S-4, which is not far from Groom Lake† (â€Å"Area†). â€Å"Early in the morning of June 17, 1972, several burglars were arrested inside the office of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), located in the Watergate building in Washington, D.C.† (â€Å"Watergate Scandal†). â€Å"The first White House reaction was to publicly downplay the whole affair† (Cohen 33). â€Å"â€Å"...The prowlers were connected to President Richard Nixon’s reelection campaign, and they had been caught while attempting to wiretap phones and steal secret documents† (â€Å"Watergate Scandal†). â€Å"While historians are not sure whether Nixon knew about the Watergate espionage operation before it happened, he took steps to cover it up afterwards, raising â€Å"hush money† for the burglars trying to stop the FBI from investigating the crime, destroying evidence and firing uncooperative staff members† (â€Å"Watergate Scandal†). â€Å"He [Nixon] went on national television and declared he had done nothing wrong† (Cohen 17-18). â€Å"The seven men charged with the Watergate burglary went on trial January 8, 1973† (Cohen 35). â€Å" McCord - one of the seven men - stated that members of his family had expressed fear for his life if he told what he knew and that he did not feel confident talking to the FBI† (Cohen 37). â€Å"There was,

Research Methods For Business Samples for †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Research Methods For Business. Answer: Reflection report This research is beneficial for me because it has not only developed my research skills but also developed my marketing skills. This research has increased my knowledge about advantages and disadvantages of using the social network in business practices. I have also learned that research on the social network has a wider scope from business perspectives. This research has increased my knowledge about social media as I have learned that social media is a sort of media which makes link between readers by different platforms named YouTube, Facebook, and Twitters. I have also gained experienced about the potential advantages of social media. In this way, I have learned that social media enables the company to interact with a large amount of population who lives in across the globe. It aids to stimulate the business growth. There are different kinds of companies like travel and tourism, retail, and electronics which have expanded their business by selling their products and services throu gh online channels (Schaltegger and Wagner, 2017). I have also gained learning that social media leads direct communication with the customers on the subject of delivering added value. It can be used to encourage the customers to recommend the products and services of the particular company (Zikmund, et. al., 2013). It was beneficial to me to recommend my companys product to a large number of customer hence it can provide me professional growth. During this research, I have also gained my understanding of the key characteristics of social media network. In such way, I have learned that social media network is the direct communication between customers and businesses. It provides the business to generate a direct bonding with the customers and also leads to encouraging the network (Hair, 2015). This experience has not only developed my marketing skills but also improved my communication skills as I am competent to directly communicate with the customers. From this research, I have also increased my knowledge regarding disadvantages of using the social network in business practices. In this way, I have learned that, through the social media, people are capable to send a direct message towards products and services that can be seen by other customer and it cannot be unseen from the websites. Hence, if a customer gives negative feedback to any products and services of a company then it should be resolved promptly (Bocken, et. al., 2014). This experience was effective for me to make a judgment regarding solving the negative feedbacks. Consequently, I can grow in my career by making the right decision at right time within an organization. This research has also created my understanding with respect to the cyber threat. I have learned that cyber threat can be occurred during using social media practices. Hence, the company should assess their social media frequently in case they not handle it by itself. At the same time, cybersquatters enable the corporation to protect the people on social media (Hair, 2015). As a result, I am competent to use this tool in their business practices to protect the customer and their organization existence on social media. From this research proposal, I have developed my research skills in terms of using research design. I have learned that research design is beneficial to facilitate the suitable guidance to collect the information and assess the findings of the research topic. It is also analyzed that there are different kinds of research design is used by a researcher like quantitative and qualitative (Bocken, et. al., 2014). I have also learned that this research topic is based on the subjective nature as a researcher will choose the qualitative research design. This research design is used to make conceptual framework and theories about the research issue (Leonardi, et. al., 2013). Together with, I have learned that quantitative research is used to assess the data of survey through a questionnaire. As a result, I am able to use these research designs in future. I have also gained learning about different approaches like inductive and deductive approach. In this way, I understood that inductive appr oach is used to obtain the reliable and valid outcome. As well, this approach is used to generate theory about the research issue. During this research, I have also boosted my experience regarding sampling and sample size. Sampling is a process of choosing the participants from the targeted population (Myers, 2013). This process is essential to obtain the data about research issue. I have gained my understanding that there are two kinds of sampling procedure is used to select the respondents such as probability and non-probability sampling method. As a result, I am enabling to choose the right participant by using the appropriate technique. From this research, I have also enhanced my knowledge about data collection method. In this way, I knew that data gathering process is beneficial to obtain the reliable and valid information about the research topic. There are two methods of collecting the data named primary and secondary. In this way, it is analyzed that primary data is collected from survey through questionnaire and interview methods whereas secondary data is collected from a different textbook, academic journals, online and offline websites, annual report and government publication (Sekaran and Bougie, 2016). In current time, I am competent to gather the information from different sources which would be beneficial to increase the profitability and productivity of my organization. This has also enhanced my market research skills as I can grow in this field in long-term. During this research, I have also learned that a researcher faces certain constraint to meet the research objectives. These constraints are time, cost and resources which creates difficulties to complete the research in a specified time period (Bryman and Bell, 2015). I have increased my understanding that researcher should concentrate to develop an appropriate questionnaire structure and choose the right respondents. I have also gained my knowledge regarding overcoming the research limitation. In this way, I knew that researcher should keep the privacy of confidential information regarding participants. In the last, I have gained understanding with respect to time schedule which is beneficial to do the particular activities of research in a specified time period. References Bocken, N. M. cloning1 essays

cloning1 essays For the last few decades, cloning was a fictitious idea that lay deep within the pages of some sci-fi novels. The very idea that cloning could one day become reality was thought to be a scientific impossibility by many experts but on one exhilarating day, what was thought to be purely fiction became reality. That fine day was February 22, 1997. A team from the Roslin Institute which was lead by Dr. Ian Wilmut changed the face of history forever by revealing what looked like an average sheep. That sheep was what was going to be one of the most famous if not the most famous sheep in modern day. Dolly was this seven month old Trojan lambs name and Dolly was the first ever clone of a mammal. She was an exact biological carbon copy, a laboratory counterfeit of her mother. In essence, Dolly was her mothers biological twin. What surprised most thought, was not just the fact that Dolly was a clone but was that the trick to Wilmut and his teams success was a trick that was so ingenious yet s o simple that any skilled laboratory technician could master it. Therein, lied a pathway towards a new future. This news shocked the world for Dolly was the key to many new and prosperous possibilities. But Dolly was not the first clone ever. Cloning of a more limited sort had been done before her. Creatures such as mice, frogs and salamanders had been cloned from as early as the 1950s. Then, a different procedure was used. This procedure included the destruction of the nucleus inside the egg cell. Then a new donor cell would be brought and injected into the egg cell as a replacement. The egg would then grow into an progeny of the same genetic make-up as the donor. Later on in the 1970s a new technique was developed. This technique included transferring the genes from one organism to another by combining the DNA from a plant or animal cell with the DNA in bacteria. When the bacteria divided the cells w ...

Titration Lab Report Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Titration - Lab Report Example In the case of the titration of NaOH with dilute HCl and dilute H2SO4 this point is marked by the sudden and stable change in the color of the base-indicator mixture following titration with the acid. This experiment will determine the volume of the acid used when the end point is reached after 0.1M sodium hydroxide is titrated with hydrochloric acid and sulphuric acid of unknown molarities using phenolphthalein indicator. While wearing safety glasses and a lab coat 100 cm3 of NaOH (aq) was collected in a large beaker. A burette was clamped firmly and filled with dilute HCl  (aq) until the bottom of the meniscus of the acid was on the zero line. 25.00 cm3 of the NaOH solution was pipetted (with caution) into a conical flask and then four drops of phenolphthalein indicator added. This flask was then placed on a white tile that was placed directly underneath the burette’s tap. Acid from the burette was added rapidly into the conical flask until the red colour disappeared. The volume of the acid added was noted down as the rough value. The burette was then filled again with dilute HCl (aq) to the zero mark and another 25.00 cm3 of NaOH (aq) cautiously pipetted into a second conical flask and four drops of phenolphthalein added. The acid was then added rapidly until within 2 cm3 of the reading noted earlier, at which point it was added slowly until the colour of the solution in the conical flask just disappeared. The volume of acid used was recorded. These last two steps of the experiment were repeated two more times, after which the entire experiment was repeated again, using dilute H2SO4 (aq) instead of dilute HCl (aq). In this experiment, phenolphthalein was used as the indicator. During the titration, the acid was allowed to mix with the base. In doing so, the pH values changed from basic (>7) towards 7. At the end point, the pH was neutral as this is the point when there are equal amounts of base and acid in the mixture. The chemical equations

Pp2 Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words

Pp2 - Essay Example One article praises the quality of Japan’s management style and sates that British managers are trying to learn from the competitive model of Japanese management style. Another article points out the weak aspects of Iranian hospital management. The article helps us to make a detailed comparison with the hospital industries UK and Japan. The literature also illustrates the various reasons why hospital industries in UK and Japan have better management quality than that of other countries like Iran. The majority of developed countries seek convergence of different management styles which are found successful in practical business operation. The article on Iranian hospital management points out the absence of effective interaction between the managers and other employees. Iranian managers maintain exceedingly distinguished position in the organizations which ultimately will have adverse effect on the interpersonal relationship. On the other hand, the managers of other regions main tain comparatively positive approach to knowledge sharing and collective teamwork. As the article states, there is little distance between managers and other individuals in the British style of organizational management. Instead of personal management, rather broad and collaborative information sharing has become the major facet of modern business management. Therefore, the mode of leadership is a significant factor that determines business success. The quality and effectiveness of workforce is subjected to leadership style. HR management should be the major concern business strategy. Successful companies spend time and effort to develop their managerial functions. Countries like Iran need to heed their genuine concern to research on other organizational cultures and business management styles. The first part of the research is to investigate the common theories associated with the organizational management. The theory part will be helpful in order to

What Are the Advantages and Disadvantages of the Matrix Form of Structure Essay Example for Free

What Are the Advantages and Disadvantages of the Matrix Form of Structure Essay Organisational structure refers to the way that tasks and responsibilities are allocated to individuals and the ways that individuals are grouped together into offices, departments, and divisions. Mangers often describe their organisation by drawing an organisation chart which shows the structure of an organisation and the relationships and relative ranks of its profits and positions. When small businesses are started, they consist of an owner, manager and a few employees so an organisational structure is unnecessary at this stage. As an organisation grows to become an established business, it will adopt one of a number of organisational structures to implement its strategy. There are a number of different structures (the allocation of tasks and responsibilities to individuals) an organisation can choose. They include a functional structure, multidivisional structure or a matrix structure. The matrix structure is more complex than the other forms of structure. It combines different structural dimensions simultaneously, for example, product divisions and geographical territories or product divisions and functional specialism. The matrix structure has certain advantages and disadvantages: Advantages: 1.They are effective at knowledge management because they allow separate areas of knowledge to be integrated across organisation boundaries. Particularly in professional services organisations. Can be helpful in applying particular knowledge specialism to different market or geographic segments. E.g. for a particular client – people with particular knowledge specialism (strategy/organisational design) tied with people grouped with particular markets (industry sectors or geographic regions.  Example: education specialists – various age groups 2.Matrix organisations are very flexible because they allow different dimensions of the organisation to be mixed together. It is particularly attractive to organisations operating globally, because they of possible mix between local and global dimensions. For example, local marketing in geographical divisions and global product divisions. 3.The matrix structure replaces formal lines of authority with (cross matrix) structures or dual dimensions. This can lead to problems and disadvantages of the matrix structure. Disadvantages: 1.It will typically take longer to make decisions because of bargaining between the managers of different dimensions. 2.There may also be conflict because staff may find themselves responsible to managers from two structural dimensions. In short, matrix organisations are hard to control. 3.Jobs and responsibilities of staff across the matrix may not be clear, i.e. one ‘arm’ of the matrix may work for another ‘arm’ of the matrix (economic production volumes over local variations). 4.Cost and profit responsibilities can be unclear. Senior managers must be good at sustaining collaborative relationships across the matrix and strategically leading and guiding employees.
